Various methods are there for metal treatment in India. Metal treatment chemical refers to a process where metal parts are prepared for painting and coating which usually involves the creation of a physical barrier which helps in the protecting the metal against a corrosive environment.

There are several steps which are included in Metal Treatment Chemicals process. The first step is cleaning where the mill oils and stamping compounds are removed which is then followed by a cleaner rinse and then onto a conversion coating stage of either iron or zinc phosphate. There is a rinse after the phosphate stage, which is normally followed by an inorganic-organic sealer. The most common type of metal surface treatment is chemical conversion coatings.

Prior to painting metal and plastic, specific pre-treatment chemicals must be used to clean, phosphate, rinse and condition the substrate.
